Integrate your calendars with Timesheets for seamless time management

For any organization, accurate time tracking is essential, yet it can often feel time consuming and disruptive.
Luckily there is a simple and speedy solution: Integrating your working calendars (like Google or O365) with Timesheets.
It takes the hassle out of your time management, streamlines your workflows, and helps you and your teams stay focused on the work that matters instead of admin.

Make your admin easy
If AI and automation can teach us anything over the last few decades of technological advancement, it is that we really don’t like doing things manually and will do all that we can to speed up our processes.
Calendar integrations automatically pull all your events, appointments, and meetings into your timesheets as soon as they are scheduled. Instead of jumping back and forth between tabs to see what you did this week to build your timesheets – it’s already done for you.

How to do it
Calendar integrations can be easily turned on at the user level as well as the global level by your Jira admin.
Route one
Click the gear icon at the top right and select “Settings”
You should see a dropdown list of all providers you can integrate with – click the pencil icon and choose your calendar of choice
That’s it! You’re connected
Route two
Click the “Apps” icon on the left-hand bar and choose which calendar to install by scrolling to it and selecting “install”
Choose between enhanced automated calendar or simple functionality
Choose the right Google account, enable access for Tempo and you are good to go!
Once you’ve enabled calendars, don’t forget to go to your filters icon on the right hand side and check the box for the calendar you want to see or you won’t get visual updates on your Timesheets – it’ll be unchecked by default.
Don’t worry, not every event gets instantly logged. Just hover over each event and click the checkmark to confirm it to your timesheet. This isn't final either – you can uncheck it at any time and it won’t remove it from your calendar – it will just revert back to its original unconfirmed state.
You can also just click “Log Activities” to confirm all your events for the day in a single swoop – although events that aren’t connected to a Jira issue will ask for a quick review. This also works for the entire week under “Log All Activities”.
